Farming with Nature: Doing our bit to Integrate Biodiversity into British Farming
SFI
The Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) is a government initiative that funds us as farmers to adopt sustainable agricultural practices. The program aims to enhance the environment by promoting activities such as improving soil health, reducing carbon emissions, and increasing biodiversity. By participating in the SFI, we receive financial support for implementing practices that protect natural resources, contribute to climate resilience, and ensure the long-term productivity of our land. The SFI is part of the broader Agricultural Transition Plan, which seeks to create a more sustainable and environmentally friendly farming sector.
Cranborne Chase Cluster Group
Farmers and landowners united by their passion for long-lasting environmental improvement

We are working with a network of farmers and landowners committed to long-term environmental improvement. The farmers involved are enhancing wildlife habitats, regenerating soils, and rebuilding biodiversity. Engaging with the local community, including schools and conservation groups, is vital for success, as connected habitats across farms yield greater benefits for wildlife.
Bees and Barn Owls
In residence at Manor Farm we are proud to home more than 100,000 bees, and 3 pairs of breeding barn owls, which greatly benefit our farm and the local environment. Bees help pollinate our crops, improving their yield and quality, while also supporting the growth of wild plants. We also home wild Grey Partridge, and Corn Buntings, which have been shown to be a great indicator of a healthy ecosystem on the farm. Their presence highlights our commitment to a thriving, balanced environment.
